Narrated by Bukhari and Muslim
رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ “ مَنْ قَالَ
لا إلهَ إلاَّ اللَّهُ وَحْدَهُ لاَ شَرِيكَ لَهُ، لَهُ المُلْكُ وَلَهُ الحَمْدُ وَهُوَ عَلى كُلّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ
(La ilah illa ‘llah, wahdahu la sharik lah, lahu’l mulku wa lahu ‘l hamd, wa huwa ala kullishay’in qadir)
There is no god but Allah, alone, without any partner. The kingdom and praise belong to him and he has power over everything.
كانَتْ لَهُ عِدْلَ عَشْرِ رِقابٍ، وكُتِبَتْ لَهُ مئة حَسَنَةٍ، ومُحِيَتْ عَنْهُ مئةُ سَيِّئَةٍ، وكانَتْ لَهُ حِرْزاً مِنَ الشَّيْطانِ يَوْمَهُ ذلكَ حتَّى يُمْسيَ، ولَمْ يَأتِ أحَدٌ بأفْضَلَ مِمَّا جاءَ بِهِ إِلاَّ رَجُلٌ عَمِلَ أكْثَرَ مِنْهُ.
It is the same for him as:
1.freeing ten slaves = $100k in charity
2.One hundred good actions are written for him and
3.one hundred wrong actions are erased from him, and
4.it is a protection from Shaytan for that day until the night.
5.No-one does anything more excellent than what he does except someone who does more than that.
وَعَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عَلَيْهِ وَسلم: “ من قَالَ: لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ وَحْدَهُ لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ لَهُ الْمُلْكُ وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ فِي يَوْمٍ مِائَةَ مَرَّةٍ كَانَتْ لَهُ عَدْلَ عَشْرِ رِقَابٍ وَكُتِبَتْ لَهُ مِائَةُ حَسَنَةٍ وَمُحِيَتْ عَنْهُ مِائَةُ سَيِّئَةٍ وَكَانَتْ لَهُ حِرْزًا مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ يَوْمَهُ ذَلِكَ حَتَّى يُمْسِيَ وَلَمْ يَأْتِ أَحَدٌ بِأَفْضَلَ مِمَّا جَاءَ بِهِ إِلَّا رَجُلٌ عَمِلَ أَكْثَرَ مِنْهُ “
Abu Huraira reported God’s messenger as saying that if anyone says a hundred times in a day, “There is no god but God alone who has no partner, to whom dominion belongs, to whom praise is due, who is omnipotent”, he will have a reward equivalent to that for emancipating ten slaves, a hundred blessings recorded for him, a hundred evil deeds obliterated from him; it will be a protection for him from the devil all that day till evening, and no one will bring anything more excellent than he brings, except a man who has done more than he has.
